Enhanced features for precise and automated PCB depaneling

Programming with integrated CCD camera

The CCD camera automatically detects reference marks (fiducials) on the circuit board and enables fast and precise creation of milling programs.

In combination with QR codes, the appropriate program can be loaded automatically. This reduces operator errors and significantly increases process reliability.

programming by CAD (DXF)*optional

In addition to CCD programming, milling programs can also be created using DXF files.

This allows for flexible data preparation in the office or remotely and is particularly suitable for complex layouts.

Gentle PCB mounting and discharge

The optimized mounting device reduces mechanical stress on the circuit board and ensures clean cut edges.

A stable and automated process improves production quality and reduces waste.

Precise dust extraction directly at the milling point

The extraction takes place directly below the cutting point and prevents dust from accumulating on the circuit board.

This reduces rework and ensures a clean and stable process.

Automatic Alignment Compensation

CCD camera reads fiducial marks on a PCB and compensates for variance on relative position of cutting paths.

Extended tool life of the milling cutter

The automatic depth adjustment in several stages significantly extends the service life of the milling cutter.

This reduces tooling costs and minimizes machine downtime.

Trusted by Leading Electronics Manufacturers

After introducing our 23NJ PCB depaneling machine, we realized how easy the programming is and how high the quality is. Previously, program creation took about a day; now it only takes 30–60 minutes.

The 23NJ has proven itself as a reliable PCB depaneling solution for our international production sites.

Denso
Barcelona

Although we are not fully utilizing the 23Q, we are very satisfied with the performance of our PCB depaneling machine. The Poka-Yoke function, as well as the high precision and repeatability, are particularly impressive.

The machine is ideally suited for various applications in industrial environments.

Maintanance

Our machines are durable and we have documented a life cycle of easily more than 10 years per machine.

✔ Lifespan over 10 years

We recommend that the spindle motor and collet chuck should be kept in stock because it takes time to produce.

✔ Spare parts should be available

Although our system supports a 3-5 step depth adjustment, the milling cutters need to be replaced regularly as they are wear parts.

PCB Depaneling FAQ – Common Questions About PCB Routers & Machines

Regular maintenance of a PCB depaneling machine includes:

– Replacement of the milling head
– Daily cleaning of the dust collector
– Lubrication of the conveyor belt rail
– Maintenance of the ball screw

The CCD camera detects reference marks (fiducials) on the circuit board and enables precise positioning during PCB depaneling.

QR codes, on the other hand, are used to identify the product or to select the correct program.

These functions help to avoid errors and increase process reliability.

Our support team will assist you quickly and reliably with any questions – by phone, email or web conference.

23Q: The stroke of the Z-axis is 25 mm (cuttable area: 20 mm).
The dead space on the underside is 57 mm.

23S: The stroke of the Z-axis is 40 mm (cuttable area: 35 mm).
The dead space on the underside is also 57 mm.

(Also applies to 23NJ, 34NJ and 56NJ.)

There is no fixed minimum size for printed circuit boards during PCB depaneling.

In practice, the smallest size is approximately 30 × 30 mm.

For particularly small or specialized products, we recommend contacting us individually.

The milling cutter is the most important wear part and should be replaced regularly.

The lifespan of the milling cutter depends on the material of the circuit board.

With the 23S model, the position of the milling cutter can be automatically adjusted in several steps, thus extending the tool life.

A milling cutter can typically cut a length of about 100–150 mm.

The changeover on the 23Q model is done manually.

Rigid boards can be cut without any problems.

Processing may be limited with flexible materials or metal parts. In such cases, we recommend individual consultation.

For small workpieces, a suitable fixture is important to ensure stable positioning during PCB depaneling.
